Sustainability at Clarasys

Sustainability at the core

At Clarasys we are embedding people and planet into everything that we do in order to become the most sustainable consultancy.

As the Experience Consultancy, “do as I say, not what I do”, doesn’t gel well with our approach to business, or our own culture. We like to do the right thing, and building sustainability into the core of our firm is just that. We are determined to make a positive contribution to our clients, employees and the wider world, and we reflect this in our purpose statement of “making a lasting difference to the way people work, live and grow”.

We are committed

Our people are the ones who are driving Clarasys activity to be more sustainable. They are committed to ensuring that we are a net-zero carbon, circular organisation that does all that we can to increase our social impact.

To do this we have set three overarching aims:

  • To have embedded sustainability into our legal governance structure
  • Set a science-based net-zero target as we maintain our carbon neutral status
  • To become a circular organisation reducing the resources we use and our waste as much as possible.

Check out our Carbon Reduction Plan.

Our history

We are proud of how far we have come on our own sustainability journey but recognise there is still work to be done. Here is what our sustainability roadmap looks like including what we have achieved prior to 2021 and our upcoming steps:

  • Accredited as a Living Wage Employer
  • Joined The United Nations Global Compact
  • Accepted into the Ellen MacArthur Foundation (EMF) community
  • Mapped our waste streams internally
  • Launched sustainability core programme and induction
