Senior Finance Manager
📍 London, UK (Hybrid)

Here, you’re encouraged to be yourself, every voice is heard, and every idea is valued, propelling us forward into a future where collective empowerment drives our success.
Here, doing the right thing for our clients is what matters most.
Role overview
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Finance Manager to strengthen our finance function within a dynamic, fast-paced consultancy environment. This is a key role that will oversee financial operations, provide high-quality analysis to support decision-making, and play an important part in delivering our financial strategy. You will bring both rigour and insight to ensure the financial health and operational efficiency of the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially-minded finance professional looking to take ownership of end-to-end finance processes, influence senior leadership, and help scale a growing business.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial reporting and compliance
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and management accounts
- Manage cost-base forecasting and cash flow planning in collaboration with the wider business and leadership team
- Monitor and improve working capital, overseeing accounts receivable, payable, and debtor management processes
- Drive continuous improvement of finance systems, controls, and processes
- Provide detailed financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting to support strategic decisions
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors to ensure compliance with all statutory obligations (both UK and US)
- Support the leadership team in financial planning, modelling, and scenario analysis
- Lead junior finance team members and help build the internal finance capability as the business grows.
About you
You’re a commercially minded, qualified finance professional who thrives in fast-paced, values-driven environments. You’re hands-on, strategic, and comfortable owning the finance function while partnering closely with senior leadership.
You bring a collaborative mindset and are excited by the opportunity to work in a business that challenges traditional ways of operating. You are curious, adaptable, and open to progressive approaches such as Beyond Budgeting, Teal principles, and ideas from Reinventing Organisations. You understand that finance can be a strategic enabler - empowering teams rather than controlling them - and are motivated to build systems that support autonomy, transparency, and smart decision making.
You build trust through clear communication, take ownership without needing oversight, and are energised by helping an organisation grow in a sustainable, people-centred way. Based in our London, there is a hybrid working model, with regular in-person collaboration expected, working 2/3 days per week in our office.
Essential qualities
- Fully Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent), with strong technical accounting knowledge and a solid grounding in financial best practices.
- Ideally having 3- 5 years post-qualified experience
- Ability to interpret and communicate financial information to support high-quality, data-driven decisions across the business.
- Comfortable managing both day-to-day operations and strategic finance initiatives, with a proactive, can-do approach.
- Embraces new ways of working, including non-traditional frameworks and principles
- Builds trust and clarity with both financial and non-financial stakeholders, translating complexity into insight.
- Takes full responsibility for outcomes, operates with autonomy, and follows through on commitments.
- Constantly looks for ways to improve processes, controls, and tools to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Values a people-first culture, working cross-functionally to support a healthy, empowered organisation.
- Experience of working in a professional services environment is preferred.
