A global information and analytics organisation lacked a single source of truth to detail which data sets were feeding into their various financial data products.
They needed a standardised format and process to map their data landscape and create a foundation for an effective data governance strategy.
We collaborated closely with the client to address these challenges through a structured and methodical approach
We conducted comprehensive interviews and workshops across the organisation to understand data flows and dependencies. We used Business Optix to map these data flows for each product, supported by a master database that enabled bi-directional analysis of product-to-data relationships. Additionally, we developed training materials to ensure that the new processes and data maps could be maintained and updated sustainably. Finally, we delivered prioritised recommendations to enable the strategic use of the unified data landscape.
